The tradition of wine producing in Slovakia dates back centuries ago. Already when the Romans reached the Danube region they began to grow wine here. For small towns that developed along the Small Carpathians was wine an important source of income during the Middle Ages. The Slovak wine is still big mystery for many Europeans. It is not well known, that one half of the famous Tokai region lies in Slovakia and that the J. E. Hubert Company was the first outside of France that introduced a classical method of fermentation of sparkling wine in bottles. Come to solve the mystery of Slovak wine and to learn to say the Slovak wine toast Na zdravie [to health].
